After graduating with a first class BSc Honours degree in Biomedical Science and a state registration (HCPC) in haematology and blood transfusion science, I continued to pursue my love of science to gain a PhD in cardiovascular medicine. I have since gained over 16 years of experience working in medical communications, firstly as a medical writer / scientific adviser for a large medical communications agency, and then as a publication manager for a leading pharmaceutical company in Basel, Switzerland. 

I founded Beake Medicom in 2019 while living in Basel, but following relocation to the UK, the company is now based in Eastbourne, UK, next to the South Downs where, when time allows, I continue to pursue my love of running and getting lost in the hills.
